This guy started out as some sort of fantasy creature but slowly just kind of became a baby tapir. He's about 2in from snoot to tail and solid with a nice weight in the hand. These round beasts are so fun to make I will definitely be making more...
And here he is out of the kiln! I learned something about iron oxide from this: it actually sticks to wax resist rather than being repelled by it. I had intended it to have a dark body with light markings, but the iron oxide stuck onto the wax so this is what we got! Still a cutie though.
