Whatever this thing is has been super fun to make (currently awaiting a glaze firing). I started with a bunch of thrown forms, altered some and left some as they were, and basically just stacked them with some coils here and there to get the teetering angles and a more natural-looking lumpiness. The idea was inspired by Jenny Camp's series Bodyness of Bodies. I just wanted to play around with some interesting tube forms. Unfortunately, I think a good concept for this process really solidified in my mind after bisque firing, so I've decided this is just a fun experiment. I've used a textured glaze with some smooth glossy drips here and there, so I'm really intrigued to see what it looks like finished. I do have plans to do something similar again now that I have a more concrete idea of what I'd like to explore with it.
